Curious of period Norse cooking, and some of my favorite dishes that I've enjoyed since I was a small girl? Look no further, here's just a few of what I consider to be comfort foods. I've even turned Mistress into a believer on a few of 'em too!

Now, not all of these are 100% accurate but living in New Mexico makes it a challenge to find all the ingredients that are necessary. Hopefully once we move, I can revamp a few things and give you the proper proportions and all that good stuff.

Also, be aware that there really aren't any alternative ingredients that one can use for these. Meats and other such things are big time staples and without eating such things to sustain one's self, we probably would've died in lean winters and other hard times.

One of my favorite things to talk about is, tea! I make a lot of my own tea and not only is great for you but can also help when faced with not feeling so great too. So, with that in mind, here's a tea that's not exactly period, but one that may help you out if you're feeling a bit under the weather!
